While the whammy bar is often used for wild tricks and effects, it is a useful way of controlling pitch. This lesson plan will provide your student with a few musical exercises to demonstrate different ways the whammy bar can be used. The techniques require the student to listen to the pitch in a similar way that they do when performing a bend. The Teacher's Guide will explain each exercise and key points to mention to the student.
