COU-01 Basic Country Style Licks
About this lesson plan
This guitar lesson plan will introduce your student to country style licks and rhythm. The idea is to give your student a broad overview of different approaches to country style playing so you can see if your student is interested in learning more. There are three rhythm licks and one lead lick so the student will learn a few different approaches to the style.
In this lesson your student will learn:
- Three different approaches to rhythm
- Using open strings in a simple pentatonic lick
- How changing the tempo can dramatically change the feel of a piece
- Using fingerpicking to change the mood of the piece
