About this guide
Using mnemonic devices is an extremely effective way to help your student learn concepts and techniques faster. This guide will help you understand what makes a mnemonic device and how you can use them in your lessons.
What are mnemonic devices?
A mnemonic device is basically a simple trick or system you can use to help remember things. If you have ever used a little rhyme to remember the number of days in a particular month, or used little sayings like ‘lefty loosey, righty tighty’, then you have used mnemonic devices before. There are countless types of these devices, and all have the same basic usage – to assist your memory.
